The Opinel sharpening stone is a natural stone from the quarries of Lombardy, Italy. Since the 15th century these stones are known for their sharpening qualities. This stone is perfect for sharpening your Opinel knife or scissors.
 
The presence of quartz and carbonates in the rock provide excellent sharpening results. This stone is particularly suitable for regularly maintenance on your knives and it's handy size means that you can carry it with you on camping trips, or store it neatly in your cutlery draw at home.
 
This grinding stone has to be used with water.
